Innovative Impact FINALIST - Kia Ora Academy
The Ethnic Women's Sport Have-A-Go-Program is a safe barrier-free space to be active and try out a variety of sports in a fully funded, women-only safe environment. Of the 16 women who attended the Badminton session, there were 11 nationalities represented!
By introducing these women to sport this in turn introduces their children to sport to create generational change. They now have a year-long programme consisting of four sports being run each term from July 2024 - June 2025.
